Composite fillings, also known as tooth-colored fillings, are dental restorations designed to blend well with teeth and appear more natural than dark amalgam fillings.
Tooth-colored fillings can be used to repair chipped or broken teeth in addition to filling in decayed areas or cavities. Composite fillings are durable, require less tooth structure removal than amalgam or silver fillings and because they are aesthetically pleasing, can be used as a cosmetic bonding material to improve the appearance of front teeth.
